Lanterns ring and lantern

Let’s go over the updates real quick!

1. Redesigned for accuracyThe main gold section now features the chamfered edges and the horizontal line for a more screen-accurate look.
2. Extra top design optionI’ve added an additional option for the top green parts, as seen on the ring in Episode 2, as well as the regular Hal Jordan ring.
3. Redesigned baseThe base is now slightly narrower at the bottom compared to the previous version. I’ve also added optional interior green/gold strips!

You can print these in two ways:

As a multicolor print.

As separate parts that you simply insert into the ring.

Or, if you prefer a cleaner look, you can skip the interior strips entirely!

All options are designed to fit the same 22.5 mm ring diameter, so you can choose whichever version you prefer.

1. My twist-lock mechanismThe new design incorporates my twist-lock mechanism. I’ve test-printed it, and it works great!
2. More compact topThe top green parts are also slightly shallower, making the overall ring a bit more compact and, in my opinion, nicer looking.

The Lanterns Pack includes:

• The Green Lantern Ring from the Lanterns show
• A non-functional display version
• A functional version featuring a redesigned V2 base ring for improved screen accuracy
• The new magnetically activated LED electronics

What's included in the final update for the Lantern:

1. Updated back details for improved accuracyThe rear detailing has been refined to better match the original design.
2. Fully removable top and bottom sectionsBoth the top and bottom of the lantern can now be screwed open and shut, making it easy to access any lights or electronics inside.
3. Electronics mounting platformI've added a small stand/platform that screws into the lower lid, allowing you to mount electronics in an elevated position. As a bonus, there's also a slot designed for RC LED lights, though you're free to use whatever lighting setup you prefer.
4. New press-fit control plate optionI've redesigned the internal plate and added a press-fit version, allowing you to install your own buttons and switches. This means you can have the lantern light up when the ring is pressed into the lantern.
5. General printability improvementsA number of small refinements have been made, including thickness adjustments and changes to reduce the need for support material during printing.
6. And while I was at it... I made the bird too! :D

So that's it, everyone—one final update. I think just about every build option is covered now, and I'm really happy with where the project has landed.
